Typically, fabrics shrink by about 3%, and knitted fabrics by about 5%. Some clothes need to be ironed after washing to help restore their proper shape. If necessary, this information will be provided on the label.

Washing new clothes is not necessary because we do not use harmful chemicals at every stage of production.
